The Community for Resource Elevation and Effective Development (CREED) is a women-led Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Guwahati, Assam, established in 2014. We are committed to building sustainable livelihoods, empowering women, and fostering inclusive socio-economic development across the North Eastern Region and beyond.
With a strong grassroots presence and a vision for scalable impact, CREED works closely with communities to create opportunities that drive self-reliance, dignity, and long-term growth
WHAT WE DO
At CREED, we design and implement impactful programmes that focus on:

Conducting training programmes to enhance employability, technical skills, and entrepreneurial capabilities.

Organizing Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes (EAP), Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP), and Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programmes (ESDP) in association with MSME, Government of India.

CREED is a dynamic, women-led organization dedicated to human empowerment and community development. Since our inception, we have been actively working with women, youth, artisans, and rural communities to enhance their skills, strengthen livelihoods, and promote entrepreneurship.
Registered under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860, CREED operates with a mission to bridge gaps between potential and opportunity, enabling individuals to transform their skills into sustainable sources of income.
While rooted in the North Eastern Region, CREED is expanding its outreach across India through strategic partnerships, CSR collaborations, and development initiatives.

OUR PRESIDENT

Jennifer Borgohain is a passionate development practitioner driven by a strong commitment to community empowerment and inclusive growth. Her work is rooted in creating meaningful opportunities for women, youth, and marginalized communities, with a focus on enabling self-reliance, sustainable livelihoods and entrepreneurship promotion across the North Eastern Region.
She has played a key role in strengthening CREED as an organization, overseeing project planning, implementation, stakeholder coordination, and community engagement. Her work involves close collaboration with government bodies, CSR partners, and grassroots communities to design and execute impactful development programmes.
Jennifer has extensive experience in organizing Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes (EAP), Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP), and skill-based training initiatives, particularly in association with MSME, Government of India. She has also been instrumental in creating platforms such as CREED Expo, which promotes local entrepreneurs and artisans by connecting them to wider markets.
With a strong commitment to community development and a vision for scalable impact, she continues to lead CREED towards expanding its reach beyond the North Eastern Region and building meaningful partnerships at the national level.
Her leadership reflects a practical, grassroots-driven approach combined with a forward-looking vision to empower individuals, especially women, and create sustainable livelihood opportunities.
